What is a natural gas water heater?
The water is heated while it flows through the device. They can be used for the preparation of hot water in, for example, your kitchen, bathroom or caravan.
A natural gas water heater, propane water heater or electric water heater?
If you want to heat water in your home or caravan and are connected to the natural gas network, it is the most logical choice to go for a natural gas water heater. Natural gas is cheaper to use than propane gas or electricity.
The pros and cons of natural gas water heaters
The advantage of natural gas water heaters is that they are cheaper to purchase and use than, for example, boilers. In addition, a (natural gas) water heater only heats the water when the hot water tap is opened, the water heater is able to heat an unlimited amount of water and you never have to wait until sufficient water has been heated up again. This ensures that the water heater is economical and environmentally friendly to use, but that you have unlimited hot water anytime and anywhere.
The disadvantage is that a natural gas water heater often supplies less water per minute than a storage device. It is therefore not possible to collect water at several places in the house at the same time, which can be difficult when you have a family. In that case a boiler is a better option.
